Welcome

As part of my doctoral research in the Physics of Fluids group at the University of Twente in the Netherlands, I conducted research focusing on large-scale thermal convection, as can be found in ocean currents, atmospheric phenomena, heating systems, the Earth's mantle and outer core, and in stars including our Sun.

I performed state of the art Direct Numerical Simulations (DNS) on European supercomputers, such as Piz Daint (CSCS), Cartesius (SURFsara) and Marconi (CINECA) through the Dutch Science Organization (NWO) and the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE).

The Physics of Fluids group is part of the Faculty of Science and Technology and part of the Max Planck Center for Complex Fluid Dynamics, the J. M. Burgers Center for Fluid Dynamics and the MESA+ Research Institute.
